In this message, we talk about the importance of preparing your mind for action by setting our hope firmly on Jesus. [Note: there is a little worship time at the end of this recording.]
1 Peter is written to followers of Jesus, who are living in the midst of difficult times. Peter writes to them and reminds them they have a living hope because of Jesus. In this message I shared about the living hope we have in Jesus. (I apologize for the audio quality. The audio was taken from a video, but you can still hear the message.)
This was a message I shared early in March, and was able to co-teach it with Joy, who is on staff at Moran Park Church. One conversation is never enough to fully cover this topic or any topic, but it was a start for Moran.
Why is there suffering and pain in the world? Where is God in the midst of suffering? What does God want to do in us and through us when we experience suffering? And, how can God be glorified in the midst of suffering? In this message I discuss the complicated topic of suffering and how do we, as followers of Jesus, respond to suffering in a way the glorifies Jesus?
In Isaiah 9:6 we see that Jesus will be called; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. In this message I focus on the first name of Jesus and what it means that He is a wonderful counselor.
