At the center of Hebrews is a long conversation about the amazing sacrifice of Jesus. In Hebrews 10 it says, “But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. For by a single offering, he has perfected for all time those who are being made holy [Hebrews 10:12-14].” Once and for all. It is finished. By our faith in the sacrifice of Jesus, we are made clean, made perfect. No longer do we have to strive for perfection or wonder if we are perfect. We can live at peace because of the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus.
We want to connect our community through conversations about following Jesus by sharing our stories. Recently we sat down with Jeff and Ann Lukas. As you listen to this story, we pray you are inspired, encouraged, and challenged. If you have any questions or would like to connect about this story feel free to e-mail Jeff [jeff.lukas@gentex.com], or Ann [msannlukas@gmail.com].
What does does maturity look like? Does age equal maturity? Does maturity occur with the appearance of grew hairs? In Hebrews 6 it says move on towards maturity, but what does that look like? In this message we hope back to Numbers 14 to see a man named Caleb, who demonstrated maturity in every season of his life.
We want to connect our community through conversations about following Jesus by sharing our stories and this is the first one. Stories are powerful. They have the ability to inspire, encourage, challenge, and connect, and our hope is that this story does just that. If you have any questions or would like to connect about this story feel free to e-mail dave@otherpeoplematter.org.
