Story of the Holy Spirit

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think [beyond our imagination], according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The purpose of the church is to display the manifold wisdom of God to the seen and unseen, which is an incredible task, an impossible task, but that’s why Paul prays that God would strengthen us with power through the Spirit

So much can be said about the Holy Spirit – Spirit comforts, leads, guides, corrects, reveals Jesus, but we must never forget that it was the Holy Spirit that empowered the church in Acts to be bold witnesses for Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. And what is absolutely amazing is that the same Spirit that empowered the church in Acts, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is in us. How often are we desperate for the Spirit and relying on the Spirit to lead us and work through us?

In this message I examine passages from all over the Bible to tell the story of the Spirit, and ask what does it mean for us today? In all honesty, this is one of my favorite messages ever!
